Buckskin Fire Department is a diverse, vibrant and progressive organization.
We have well trained dive and rope rescue teams prepared for search and rescue calls. Our Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs), Paramedics, and Firefighters continually train to provide the community with excellent emergency services. - Non Stop Emergency Response – 24 hours day/7 days a week
- Emergency Medical Technicians – provide basic life support (BLS)
- Paramedics – provide advanced life support (ALS)
- CPR and First Aid – Training provided to public
- Blood Pressure Checks – (for walk-ins) provided at both stations
- Vaccinations – Administer vaccinations in conjunction with LaPaz County Health Department Clinics
- Search and Rescue
- Dive Rescue Team – Water related Search & Rescue – medical aid
- Rope Rescue Technician – Search and Rescue – medical aid
- Public Services – Response to emergency situations as dispatched
- Hazmat – Respond to Hazardous Material situations
- Snake Abatement – Removal and relocation of snakes from property as dispatched
- Public Assist – Temporary assistance provided for invalids as needed
- Knox Box Program – Key Safe provided to qualified senior citizens for emergency entry by Fire Department. (A WACOG sponsored program) Click here for Knox Box Information.
- Fire Suppression – Response to structure fires, vehicle fires, etc. as dispatched
- Mutual Aid – to surrounding areas as dispatched
- Automatic Aid – to adjacent areas as dispatched
- Wildland Fires – Provide Wildland Strike Teams to participate in state and nationwide wildland fire suppression; respond to large campaign fires as requested.

- Fire Inspections – as per state fire code
- Burn Permits – issued upon site inspection
- Scheduled tours of fire stations for local schools
- Presentations at school assemblies
- Classroom for public use – Available site for community meetings (Scheduling required)
