Known as a popular resort community for water sports and desert enthusiasts, the tourist and part time population we serve can swell during peak seasons.

We respond from normal fire engines and water tenders, as well as a 28 foot Rescue/Patrol Boat for medical aid and rescue on or alongside the Colorado River, i.e., a vehicle in the water, boat fire, etc. EMS levels range from Basic Life Support to Paramedic. Annual call volume is typically 600.

We operate from three strategically located stations within the district (Station 11, Station 211, and Station 311). Station 311 resides in Town of Parker. The district covers approximately 32 square miles and serves more than 3,200 full-time residents. As a popular destination for river recreation, off-road enthusiasts, and seasonal visitors, the population increases significantly during peak tourism periods.

Buckskin Fire District and Parker Fire District are governed by their respective elected Board. Through an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA), Parker Fire District contracts with Buckskin Fire District for administrative and operational management services. Both Boards provide policy direction and oversight to the Fire Chief, who is responsible for the administration and daily operations of both organizations. The Fire Chief oversees personnel, emergency services, training, financial management, and operational readiness to ensure the delivery of high-quality fire, EMS, rescue, and wildland services to the communities served by both districts.

Fire Station 11 -8500 Riverside DR
Built in 1983 with State Lake Improvement Funds (SLIF)

The District staffs Station 11 with two personnel (2 personnel on an Engine). This station is staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Minimum staffing of two is met by having a daily staff of two firefighters per shift.

Fire Station 211 – 3350 Parker Dam RD
Built in 1999

The District staffs Station 211 with two personnel (2 personnel on an Engine). This station is staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Minimum staffing of two is met by having a daily staff of two firefighters per shift.

Fire Station 311 – 1016 S Fiesta Ave
Built in 2024

Station 311 serves as the home of the Buckskin Fire Wildland Division and houses the personnel, apparatus, and equipment dedicated to wildland fire response and deployment.
